Bleaching:<\/strong><\/p>\n

It is the process of whitening the discoloration in the structure of the teeth or dark colored teeth in order to give a more aesthetic appearance.<\/p>\n

Home bleaching:<\/strong><\/p>\n

It is the teeth whitening process applied at home by the patient himself. It is preferred for simple coloration. In order to perform this procedure, a measurement must be taken from the patient and the mouth model must be removed. A transparent and elastic cover is prepared on this model.<\/p>\n

The whitening gel given by the dentist is put into this sheath and inserted into the mouth by the patient himself. It is usually applied at night or on weekends. The substance used in home bleaching is Carbamide peroxide. (10 \u2013 16 \u2013 20 \u2013 22 \u2013 25 %)<\/p>\n

Office bleaching:<\/strong><\/p>\n

It is a whitening method applied by the dentist in the office. It can be applied to one or a few teeth or to all teeth. Teeth that are more difficult to whiten usually need to be treated in the practice. It is applied in one or more sessions combined with home bleaching.<\/p>\n

Gels used in whitening:<\/strong><\/p>\n

(Hydrogen\/Carbamide Peroxide) may damage the gums. For this reason, it should not be carried over to the gums. The overflowing part should be wiped with a wet cotton ball.<\/p>\n

If \u201cHome bleaching\u201d is not done regularly and in sufficient time, the desired whiteness may not be achieved.<\/p>\n

There may be \u201chot-cold sensitivity\u201d after bleaching. This sensitivity is normal. It will be fixed after a while.<\/p>\n

Duration of teeth whitening:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Whitening done to remove discolorations such as tetracycline stains is usually irreversible (ie permanent). Bleaching for general bleaching can last for 3-4 years. This period may vary from person to person, depending on their eating habits.<\/p>\n

Over time the color may return 10-20%.<\/p>\n

In those who use coloring foods such as cigarettes and coffee a lot, the color may return 30-40% after 1-2 years. In order to prevent the color from returning, whitening should be repeated with a single daily use every 6-12 months for reinforcement purposes.<\/p>\n<\/div>
